Vodafone Fixed IP SIM

Vodafone is now part of VodafoneThree. A Vodafone fixed IP SIM gives your router a permanent address and, since the network integration, access to Three masts as well as Vodafone ones.

Vodafone after the merger

Vodafone UK and Three UK merged to form VodafoneThree, and in 2026 Vodafone Group took full ownership by buying out CK Hutchison’s share. Both brands continue. In May 2026 the company completed the integration of the two networks on more than 10,000 sites, so a Vodafone SIM can now connect through a Three mast where that gives better coverage, and the other way round.

For Vodafone fixed IP customers this is good news: more coverage and more capacity from the same SIM, with no change to the fixed IP. Read our full guide to the merger.

Why choose Vodafone

Vodafone has been one of the largest IoT operators in Europe for many years and runs both LTE-M and NB-IoT for low power devices. Its UK 5G is growing quickly with the combined spectrum of the two networks. It is a strong choice for single network deployments where coverage has been tested, and a good partner for EE or O2 in a dual SIM router.

Resilience tip

Do not pair Vodafone with Three in a dual SIM router if you want two independent networks. Since the integration they share masts across most of the country, so a local mast fault can affect both. Pair Vodafone with EE or O2 instead.

Questions we are often asked

Will my existing Vodafone fixed IP SIM keep working?

Yes. The merger does not change existing SIMs, APNs or fixed IP addresses. You may simply notice better coverage where Three masts fill gaps.

Does a Vodafone SIM now use Three masts?

In most areas, yes. The integrated network lets Vodafone and Three customers connect to the best available site from either network.

Is Vodafone good for NB-IoT and LTE-M?

Vodafone supports both technologies in the UK. Check coverage for your locations before a large rollout.
