Network connectivity tailored to the application
We supply fixed IP SIM cards to retail, vending, point of sale, IP CCTV, utilities, energy and transport customers across the UK. Every connection is put together for the job it has to do, so it is resilient where it needs to be, sized correctly for data and ready for the next generation of networks.
Alongside the SIM we can supply the 4G or 5G router, the antenna and the configuration, giving you one end to end connection from a single supplier. Through our partners we also offer European and international coverage, low and high data tariffs, private and public static IPs, secure APNs and private network infrastructure where it is needed.

Public, private or dynamic: the three IP options
| Fixed public IP | Fixed private IP | Dynamic IP | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Address | Same public internet address every connection | Same private address on a private APN | Changes, usually behind carrier-grade NAT |
| Reach the device from the internet | Yes, directly | No, only through a VPN | No |
| Typical access method | Port forwarding, router web access, apps, site-to-site VPN | Client or site-to-site VPN into the private network | Outbound only, or a cloud remote access service |
| Security approach | Router firewall, source IP allow lists, VPN | Not visible on the internet at all | Not reachable inbound |
| Good for | CCTV viewing, remote support, small estates | Payments, utilities, large estates, strict security policies | Devices that only send data out, or backup internet |
Not sure which you need? The fixed IP SIM guide explains the difference in plain terms, and the private fixed IP page covers VPN access in detail.
Single network or multi network?
A single network SIM is the simplest choice when a site has a strong, tested signal on one operator. It is also the right choice for the second slot in a dual SIM router, where you deliberately put a different network group in each slot.
A multi network SIM is the better choice when you do not know the coverage, cannot visit the site easily or need the connection to recover on its own if one network has an outage. A multi-IMSI SIM goes a step further by holding several network identities on one card, which suits long life IoT and international estates.

4G, 5G and low power IoT
All our SIMs work on 4G and 5G. The UK networks have now retired 3G and plan to retire 2G by 2033, so any new deployment should use a 4G or 5G router or modem. For battery powered sensors and meters we can supply IoT SIMs that support LTE-M and NB-IoT where the chosen network offers them.
Routers for fixed IP SIM cards
Any router that accepts a standard data SIM and lets you set the APN will work. For new projects we usually recommend Teltonika routers such as the compact RUT200 for 4G and the RUTX50 or RUTM50 for 5G, all of which can be managed remotely. We also supply ProRoute and Robustel routers. Ask us which suits your site and we will configure it with your SIM.
Questions we are often asked
Is a fixed IP SIM the same as a static IP SIM?
Yes. Fixed IP and static IP mean the same thing: the SIM receives the same IP address every time it connects.
Which is more secure, public or private fixed IP?
A private fixed IP is more secure by design because the device is not visible on the internet. A public fixed IP can be made secure with a well configured firewall, source IP restrictions and a VPN, but it needs that care.
Can I move a fixed IP SIM between routers?
Yes. The IP address belongs to the SIM, not the router. Move the SIM, set the same APN and the new router will receive the same address.
Can I pool data across several SIMs?
Yes. Most of our tariffs can share a data allowance across a group of SIMs on the same tariff, so a busy site can use more while a quiet site uses less.
Do you offer IPv6?
Our fixed IP services are delivered on IPv4, which is what most routers, cameras and industrial devices expect. Ask us if your project needs IPv6.
